THE ESCAPE PROJECT

The judge gave a nod and brought down the gavel:She Smiles
It was now time to waive all our pressures and travel.
It took a few days to embark on a cruise
Despite airport security with travelers to abuse.

While sunning and sailing and shopping we aim
To establish a theatre in which to proclaim
Economic advance and disaster relief,
With hope and success where there's sickness and grief.

Central America offered the most fruitful chances
To network with locals and improve circumstances,
Fighting poverty, crime--a land without hope,
And corruption in leaders with whom they must cope.

It was there that I carried ashore chocolate candy
And tucked it away in my purse where it's handy.
A little girl, playing with friends, was my mark.
They saw me approach them, their eyes all aspark. They Smile

Their puzzled expressions would instantly vanish
When all of them suddenly smiled, in Spanish.
The little girl's face lit up like a star.
Enchanted, I wished that I'd brought a whole jar.

Her face was the seal that determined my fate.
Forever I'll help them, if it's not too late.
The world is collapsing, God's timing so near,
We must get underway: His judgment is here.
